Re: Unidentified over Carnoustie
Possibly aircraft operated by Fisheries Protection. Cessna F406 such as G- MAFB have radar dome underneath. Often use call-sign "Watchdog".

Re: Unidentified over Carnoustie
Pretty sure there was a French Atlantique up over Scotland yesterday?

BUT - The tailplane isn't at the top of the fin, it's part-way up!

Re: Unidentified over Carnoustie
Thanks for replies ,picture checked was Cessna f406 don't have pic of mystery plane. It was pretty low and was gone before I could get camera or phone out..It wasn`t an Atlantic. It looked about the size of a Jetstream possibly a bit bigger.
Thanks anyway ,it might come back.

Re: Unidentified over Carnoustie
Possibly the Icelandic Coast Guard Dash 8 TF-SIF, though I have no idea whether it was over Scotland at the time; it has a prominent underfuselage radome and a T-tail. The aircraft is predominantly white with a blue/red chevron around the rear fuselage, but I wonder whether the Dash 8 is too big for what you saw?

Re: Unidentified over Carnoustie
looks like it was zz504 .looks like I misidentified one of the engines as a radar bulb due to the angle ,
