hex 43C207
hex 43C207
43C207 plotted briefly on adsbexchange, as being on the ground near Cambridge.
Does anyone know what this is? I suspect it's a a heli.

Re: hex 43C207
18.09BST Just seen it myself briefly. It was plotting around Bourn (W of Cambridge) heading NW at 109kts with height "GND".
I've had a look at four sites and none of them are able to provide a tie-up to a serial.
If it is a helicopter, could it be a military hex code for GZ100 - which has been operating under its civilian hex [406F50]???

Re: hex 43C207
Seen on ADSB-exchange around the Hereford area until it disappeared at around 18.30. altitude still as ground
Re: hex 43C207
Well, I've just run a desktop report on adsbexchange, and the hex first showed up on Jan 6th, and again on Jan 7th... at 10000ft.
Next instance is today. So it's possible, although GZ100 was using 406F50 on Saturday.

Re: hex 43C207
colt99 may have hit on the answer. Has anyone seen Dauphin ZJ787 plotting on any virtual radar system, e.g. SBS, PP, ADSBexchange, radar360, "Donny radar", et al?? Or even know what its hex is???colt99 wrote:Seen on ADSB-exchange around the Hereford area until it disappeared at around 18.30. altitude still as ground
For that matter, it could be one of the others keeping incognito
Cheers, Bob
Re: hex 43C207

Re: hex 43C207
Hi guys
I saw a report on Civil Spotters for Cambridge for yesterday which said this...
"... Also noted departing was a dark EC155 callsign "Lord 21" nor Reg visible, any ideas anyone."
So there may be a connection between that movement and 43C207, and I only mention it as "Lords" is a 658 Sqn callsign, so seems to support the suggestion that this hex is associated with a SAS Dauphin.
I would also add that 43C207 was picked up near Carterton on the 26th January 2015 and was also picked up in the Blandford Forum area on the 7th May 2015, and these sightings may be significant as MAR report that ZJ787 visited Cambridge on the 26th January 2015 & this Dauphin was also reported visiting Bournemouth on the 7th May 2015.
Whilst these examples don't quite offer us direct evidence that 43C207 is being used by ZJ787, it certainly suggests the two could well be related to one another.
Cheers.

Re: hex 43C207
The evidence is certainly mounting up for ZJ787.
Also, does anyone have the hex codes for ZJ784 and ZJ786?

Re: hex 43C207
Hi
Re ZJ784 & ZJ786, as I understand it serial ZJ784 is assigned to a Meteor Mirach 100/5 - which I presume is a drone of some kind - and ZJ786 wasn't taken up and the Dauphin retained its ID G-CHCR, before being sold in Canada.
Cheers

Re: hex 43C207
Passed over Kidderminster today at around 1130ish, quite low level, looked very much like a Dauphin to me.
Checked ADS-B Exchange, and it had come from Hereford area, and ended up circling around Lea Castle (which is an area for training armed police), before disappearing from ASB-B Exchange.

Re: hex 43C207
Operating in the Boscombe Down area today. No height readout or serial on ADS-B
