If it helps anyone - I have a spreadsheet I compiled years ago with all (or very nearly all) UK military airfields from WW1 - present day.
It hasn't been updated for years but has counties, OS grid refs, brief history etc... If it's of any use to anyone drop me a PM with your email address and I'll email a copy back.

I have sent copies requested - and, as suggested, a copy to Airfield Research Group (I was Vice-Chairman of ARG many many years ago!)
