Aussie Seahawks due in today Thurs 19/04/18

Post by TombsRIP » Thu Apr 19, 2018 11:41 am

Please see BZZ FC posts.

Presume a gas and go before joining a vessel in Irish Sea.

I'm sure someone in VAS may be able and willing to update if/when they arrive and if they nightstop (which I doubt very much).

Cheers (Diolch yn Fawr)

Well, what a right carry on it was today! When they finally did take off I saw a "Tiger08" pop up on 360radar, so we sat back and waited. Their route was confirmed and then just to confuse matters as the MH-60R's should have come into view, a Puma (XW212) came into view carrying passengers for a night stop. So roughly 10 minutes later 2 x light grey dots were seen in the distance (we assumed that they were taking their time in a wide arc to come in in lovely blazing sunshine for an approach on 19). They continued on their heading and so 4 cars zoomed out of spotters car park (assuming the MH-60R's were arcing to do an approach to 13), Nope. They continued on thir heading going direct to Ronaldsway for a hot re-fuelling then direct to Stornoway.

It seems that after one of the MH-60R's going tech earlier seems to have upset their timings ending up in them re-fuelling at Ronaldsway instead of Valley? Hopefully we shall be able to photograph them on their return to Brize in about 2 weeks.
If it wasn't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all...
