Valley night exercise??

Post by Skywatcher » Wed Jul 19, 2017 9:25 pm

Good evening all
Just had a helicopter lift (might have been a Chinoock -thanks Gary :thumb: )from Valley not to long ago ,literally all I heard on the RT was "Valley lifted and proceeding en route " and that was that.
Also saw and heard earlyer GUNSHIP 02 landing on rny 01 earlyer on ,apparently one of three currently here at the min,is there some kind of night tranining ex going on as last night had two helicopters operating in the visual pattern up until around 00:00hrs ,might have been a pair of Griffin's possibly
Does anyone have any info on any possible night ex going on right now ?
Any info very very much appricated :thumb:
All the best

There were two Chinooks going into RAF vallley late last night IIRC. Their callsigns were LIFTER1 and LIFTER2
If it wasn't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all...
