2 X Constellation 5-9-1976 WOD- DVR

Post by slogen51 » Sat Mar 03, 2018 1:27 pm

Really pushing the boat ( or should I say sled) out now!

Saw two C-121 Constellations going Woodley-Dover on the morning of 5-Sept- 1976

First one at 08:15 might have been calling TAR or LAR 31
Second at 09:00 callsign could be Bravo 10 which doesn't sound right.

Got a problem here. `BARG` reported 193TEWS EC-121S 40159 and its supporting C-121C 40183 arriving at Rhein Main on this date. However, EC-121S 40173 with C-121C 40167 both diverted to Mildenhall on that date and continued to Rhein Main on the 7th. What isn't known is where they were when they changed their routing to Mildenhall.

Maybe this could be settled by Mike saying where he was at the time.

Many thanks for your help

I was in Weybridge Surrey so I would not have seen the two that diverted into Mildenhall but the first two must surely be the pair I saw.

I should have purchased the barg DVD

Thanks again

Hi Slogen51

I logged 54-0173 routing Woodley-Brookmans Park @ 0910 c/s BUTTOCK66
it was a Sunday morning I was in the kitchen sorting breakfast out when I heard a piston noise and looked out
from memory ( after 42 years !) 54-0167 was just before it

a quick check the only one I needed from this lot was 54-0159

guess this confirms you saw the Rhein Main pair
