USAF E-3 markings

USAF E-3 markings

In September 1997 passing by Oklahoma we drove round the edge of Tinker AFB. Not the easiest of places to read things off, we noted two E-3 with "552ACW" as serials, anyone know which they were in reality

552ACW was the unit, not a serial.

In 2001, 83-0007 was marked 552ACW and 76-1605 was marked 552OG. Both had the serial in smaller text below it.

76-1605 wore 552ACW markings in April 1997 so I'd say that's a good shout for one.
