REQ Tucson area - specific H-34 requests.

Post by Sea_Harrier_FA2 » Sat Nov 11, 2017 8:21 pm

Can anyone help with any of the below, all related to H-34s in the Tuscon area. I am looking for confirmation of sightings in any of the yards around DM for these specific aircraft.

145701 - Eurodemobbed have this as at Allied yard in 2007. Other than the amarcexperience website I had not seen reports of this there before or any other Tucson scrapyards. Might this be a mispole for 145761 which Eurodemobbed has there in 2002. '761 was also in the AMARC books but I can not find '701 in the scrapyard section.

148114 and 57-1764 were reported on the amarcexperience site as at Jacks in 2000. I had not seen any other reports of this there or any other Tucson scrapyards. See excellent USMOOS 2007 report.

148821, 149358, 54-3032 all reported by amarcexperience in Allied in 1994. none mentioned in AMARC books scrapyard section. Where they ever there?

149340, 149401 both reported by amarcexperience in Allied in 2000, none mentioned in AMARC books scrapyard section. Where they ever there?

56-4303 reported by amarcexperience as at Allied with no departure date, I have not seen any other reports for this there. Any offers?

These all stem from a 1993 Tucson visit. Also if anyone identified the four H-34s at Tucson Airport back then including 145779 and 148001 all parked tightly together I would love to know what the other two were.

I MAY have an answer re my own question re the ones at Tucson airport, 145779 and 148001. These two ended up at Sunsites and it is quite possible all four went the same way. Of those serials reported at Sunsites all were reported, according to the AMARC books in Allied until at least 1992 except two. These two are 145687 and 150718. These COULD be the candidates for the other two machines at Tucson airport in 1993

Hi Bob,

I have just been doing some work of my own on the Tucson IAP H-34's and can confirm the following was read off in August 1994: 145809, 145779 (3H164), 148001 (3H015) and the fourth was read as 1461**. I am trying to tie this one up as well as the serial is wrong, I wonder if it should read 1481**.

Hope this helps
David
