Boscombe Down airshow 9/10 June 1990 ( CH-53E query)

Post by woody142 » Sun Aug 13, 2017 4:48 pm

I went to this show, but I do not remember seeing
CH-53E 161988, I did not photograph it, but did take photo's of the rest of the US navy aircraft there.
My question is simply was it in the static?, if so, where, was it there both days, or was it an active airframe on the north active side.
My log is currently hiding in the loft somewhere, but currently winning the game of " hide and seek".
Scramble has it there?, is this a typo, or is it my memory letting me down.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

This photo tells you that it departed the static on 9th June

.......and this photo should give some indication of where it actually was.

Dug out my check list - I have it 'ticked' - must have been in the morning because I was at Stokes bay that afternoon for the Eisenhower on 9 June 1990.
