RAF Valley 1968

I have just discovered an old teletype 'Arrival' message for two flights "Iranian 5118 and 5109" for their arrival into Valley at 13:03z and 1313z respectively, on 31/12/1968
Can anyone enlighten me as to types/serial or any other information on these two items?

I could be wrong, but those look suspiciously like the old Imperial Iranian AF serials 5-118 and 5-109 which were both C-130Es.

Only a suggestion, as they might be callsigns unrelated to serials,

Sounds reasonable, although I was not aware they visited Valley - a sad miss if they did! Yes, the c/n's for both are 4148 (5-109) and 4295 (5-118).

Just noted that 5-118 was in Lyneham on 18/12/68 and 5-108 (not 5-109) was there on 26/12, so it seems possible the Iranians did visit Valley.
