RAF Lakenheath Air Show 1992

Post by Al dunn » Sun Jul 30, 2017 3:21 pm

Watching my dads video of the above airshow and there was a flypast of 3 x Tiger Moths, looked like approx 5x Ryan aircraft and some others

Question is does anyone have a list of these aircraft. I have checked scramble and they are not listed.

Regards

Al

Hi Al
These were present at the show although I've not noted if they flew;
N56421 RYAN ST Recruit. Coded 855. Also wore 41-15855....this was also at Coningsby in 1989
N1344 RYAN ST Recruit....was at Alconbury 1988
I have noted 41-20854, RYAN ST Recruit. Unsure if this was still N854 or whether it had moved to the UK register as G-BTBH by then.
N49272 Fairchild. (Possibly) wore 43-437...can quite read my own writing.
N38940 Boeing PT-17 Kaydet. Wore 41-8263.

I have nothing noted for Tiger Moths but do have a couple of Stearman Kaydets:
1180 (G-BRSK)
379 (G-ILLE)

The only other biplane I have noted is SE5A replica G-BDWJ.

I don't know whether this helps at all. Unfortunately at this time I only noted what I could read.....who knew we'd have the internet eh!!

I've also checked BARG and nothing noted for this show.

hth

Would make a lot of sense, a Stearman/Ryan formation
