Hi all,
just looking through some old logs and found a couple of gaps. I went to Cottesmore 18-FEB.91, and noted on the fire section / BDRT were:
Hunter T7, camo, coded 05, XL618
Canberra cockpit, camo ?
Vulcan B2 cockpit, camo, XM656
JP T3, silver, coded B, XM375
Lightning F3, camo, coded AQ XR716
Lightning F3, Grey, ?
anyone offer up the Lightning and Canberra cockpit please?
TIA, Ray

Re: RAF Cottesmore fire section FEB.1991
At that time there was a Sea Vixen on the dump as well , XJ582 coded 702 .
Can't find any mention of another Lightning or Canberras on the dump for that period and they are not listed in the scramble.nl show log for that year , but the Sea Vixen is .

On the Dump at the open day on 6th July were the following :
XL618/05 Hunter T.7
XM375/B Jet Provost T.3 (wings detached)
XR716 Lightning F.3 (minus tail fin and canopy)
XJ582 -/702 Sea Vixen FAW.2
XM656 Vulcan B.2 (forward fuselage only)
plus a Canberra PR.7 nose
So your possible second Lightning was probably the Sea Vixen
never found confirmation on Canberra cockpit
