BARG quotes Mustangs 8, 146 (fuselage only), 43, and 41 (complete except for tailplanes, Suez stripes on wings) as being present or arriving in 1977. No departure dates are shown in 1977 or 1978.

The Spitfire could be either 46 or 32 (ex TE566). However the latter is also quoted as being 69. All these were present in 1977 but it doesn't show any departure dates for these either.

Some internet research might be required!

hi,
if anyone's following this thread, Googling results, on Fighter control old serials "Robs Lamplough's Israeli haul" photo's... and again Fighter control's Warbirds, rep's and Nostalgic photo's "Duxford 1977 ex Israeli P.51's and Spitfires"...
So when I popped my head in the side shed in 1978 one P.51 IDF43 was being worked on( G-BIXL), but I don't know if the other one was a spares source or a rebuild?
The Spitfire could have been either TE517/IDF46 or TE566/32...
So confirmation on G-BIXL/43, but the other 2?...
regards,
dave...
