Hi Barthie, I think this was 64-0523 MC-130E c/n 382-4007, probably based or at Waco for mods when you saw it.

Hi JJ, and thanks for that. Interesting theory, but I can't recall visiting Waco on our only visit to TX in 2007. I'll check with my son. I have seen that frame at 3 UK bases anyway. Have Hercs ever carried single digit codes?

If you didn't visit Waco , TX , what is the significance of Waco in the title , is that the aircraft type ?
