There is also a note saying that 2 Buccaneers , 2 Canberras and a Nimrod flew down the Runway , no reason known and no serials so not much help .

Thanks Steve. I seem to recall that another spotter told us that the formation was a rehearsal for a fly-by in London. Remembrance Day maybe.
