Newbie question -abbreviation
Hi all. I'm seeing a lot in the heads up section a post topic regarding a flight, for example VELCRO4 (PP/RT) what does to PP and the RT mean please. I'm guessing RT is return but apologies for my stupidity.
Re: Newbie question -abbreviation
PP = Plane Plotter
RT = Radio Transmission
Hope that helps

Re: Newbie question -abbreviation
Thanks Paddyboy.
Its a shame there isnt a small section in the newbie area which explains abbreviations, terminology etc. It would imagine a lot of folk would find it quite helpful.

Re: Newbie question -abbreviation
Great idea, Pawlee, as I am sure there are some Abbs/Acs I don't have a Scooby about
Re: Newbie question -abbreviation
I'd find it helpful. I can't be the only person who has some interest in what's flying out of the local RAF base but who doesn't have quite the consuming interest in the minutiae . Dilettantes like me often don't have the faintest clue what some posts are about as they seem to be comprised entirely of acronyms and nicknames. Which can make visiting feel like walking into a strange pub for the first time ...and not always in a good way
Re: Newbie question -abbreviation
All you have to do is ask, someone would explain I’m sure
