Hi all,
I've been running my own ADSB feed for about 2 weeks, firstly with a cheap Nooelec DVB-T dongle and the supplied extendable antenna set at 137mm. I've now upgraded to a Flightaware Pro dongle and an old discone i remembered I had in the loft (which is where it's currently hooked up) fed with 9mm RG213. I use PiAware on a Pi3 (I love gadgets and have several laying about) feeding multiple sites and MLAT systems. I'm looking to upgrade to a Flightaware antenna mounted outside when payday comes along
I joined this forum to learn a little more about the military aircraft I see flying over regularly and also try to photograph them (I live close to Warton) and listen on my Icom R10.
Thanks all.
