Hi folks,
Thanks for allowing me into the forum.
I came across this excellent site while doing some research for the local Machrihanish website. As many of you will know, we are often referred to as 'Scotland's Area 51' and used to get lots of visitors spotting the many and varied aircraft landing at the base.
For those who didn't know, the base is now community owned: http://www.machrihanish.org/
Anyway, just wanted to say hi and thanks again, some excellent posts here that will take me a while to read

Hi Mac, welcome to the forum.
Fantastically rugged part of Western Scotland, full of good memories.
I used to drop in with the Nimrods from Kinloss occasionally, sometimes overnighters; - Ahhh Campbeltown...
