Re: Hello folks
ha, don't worry I already have and reported you over countless insults and your patronising attitude to a newcomer.

Mike,
Get it into your head that (s)he is not talking about posts that (s)he has made that do appear on the forum.
(S)he is talking about a post that (s)he thought had been made and has not appeared.
Now, enough, please - both of you.
Bob

Please do me a favour and edit out the anatomical words in your posts. Not really necessary, there are sufficient words in the English language for you to express yourself without being rude.
Enjoy your time contributing to the FC Forum. There are some very pleasant contributors and have been for many years.

Re: Hello folks
I thought I was going crazy for a minute, my post I had made has now magically appeared in the section I wanted it too. I knew it had gone for approval for some reason or another.

Re: Hello folks
So, to explain what appears to have happened here.
When we introduced the 5 post minimum count requirement for the heads up section we did so via the use of a new user group with the relevant permissions. For some reason, the permissions that have assigned themselves to this group when applied to the Flight Sim section require any members posting in there with less than 5 posts to have their posts approved by a moderator before it is visible on the board. This isn't by design and not a bug that i had noticed, something i need to look into.
Therefore, Spookygnu is entirely correct - he had submitted posts to the forum in that section that weren't visible to any but the moderating team therefore the questioning was more than valid.

Apologies for my rant last night.

Re: Hello folks
What is even crazier is that the minimum 5-post requirement appears to have only applied to replying to a thread, but not to initiating a thread.
Spookygnu's overall 1st and 3rd posts were actually initiating threads.

Re: Hello folks
not entirely crorrect, I did need approval for the hawkt1 thread, but because I didn't get notified it was up on the forum I didn't know it was there after it was approved. I then had to subscribe to it, I posted a reply and here we are now. My posts in this section we up straight away and my replies here we instant also. It's only that section of the forum.
Re: Hello folks
Ah, by the time I got round to reading the thread they were visible. Hence, I didn't quite get the whole of "the right end of the stick" from reading your posts. Sorry.
Anyway, I never got round to it......
Welcome to the forum and, above all, enjoy it!!
We are all basically friendly and harmless, but some of us can get a bit "carried away" at times.
I'll look forward to seeing some of your photos in the future - not into Flight Sim myself.
Cheers,
Bob
