With a heavy heart I have to announce the passing of RAF Shawbury's dep CRO Mark Vickers, he was the driving force behind our successful spotting trips helping spotters from the UK and Europe as well.
He passed away last night from the c word, sorry but i refuse to type it in full after losing so many friends and relatives to it.
Along with Bomber, Nopey and myself he would take you around the hangars but always pointed difficult spotting questions to myself or Bomber and he would always do his best to squeeze another bum on seats or arrange for us to find any late comers due to traffic problems.
Admin hope its ok to post this as so many spotters have been helped by Mark. RIP

Re: Passing of dep CRO
Sad news. Was very helpful and accommodating for the Shawbury Spotters group on the tours.
