01-06-2010

Visiting today were:-

50+84 C160 ‘GERMAN AIR FORCE 416’
0216 M28 ‘POLISH AIR FORCE 126’

Both in connection with an Athletics event at Cosford. A Belgian Embraer 145 was also due, but it is thought this opted for Birmingham on Bank holiday Monday.

Also overshooting late on in the day was

U/D HARRIER 'COT05' (Possibly a T bird?)

Bell 212 (ZK206) marked as G-CFXE performed a test flight to the west. This was as far as I know its first major flight since conversion.

Seems nobody was aware the M28 was staying over from Tuesday. Anyway he departed at approx 09.20L as 'POLISH AIRFORCE 126' to Koln Bonn.

With the usual disclaimers for canx etc, due today are

'BAF610' - 1 x Emb 145 In 14.00L/Out 15.00L - To Koln Bonn
'GAF418' - 1 x C160D In 14.15L/Out 15.30L - From Lossiemouth/To Koln Bonn

I must say sorry for having a few days off work so could not say for certain
that it was staying. The info came from a non spotter and it was originally due
to dep.

I think people should stop slagging off people on here and get off there
backsides and stop whinging. I don't have to pass on info in fact
after years of doing this I'll stop now. So whingers don't ask about
times and days of Cosford traffic as I'll just keep it to my self.!!

Cheers Scarecrow

PS Next time e mail me, don't slag me off in public,if you have the bottle.

Sorry moderators.

Scarecrow

I have to say I'm with you on this one, it would be a disapointment if you stopped filling in the gaps for us locals and not so locals, I will miss your reports of whats in and out at my closest base.

regards

James

I have apologised to "scarecrow" about a comment made on MSF E-mail group, which I presume is his reason to bring the subject up on Fighter Control........
Gary

Since the comment was aimed at his above post on Fighter control it seems pretty obvious why he should post it up on here.

Im sure the appolgy will be excepted as Scarecrow is a good bloke but the comment shouldnt have been made in the first place. For gods sake this is a hobby!

I for one advise him in future just to post any info up on the Shawbury Yahoo group. I for one will only post logs of visitors from now on and not put any heads up notifications on FC..

May i offer my thanks to Scarecrow and Dubmaster, for the help they have given me with any questions i have asked about my local base Shawbury, i for one hope Scarecrow still posts on FC as his heads ups are greatly appreciated by me and many others, and i hope that all the ungrateful remarks made by some people stop, as it is things like this that ruins our hobby and offends members who provide info in the hope of helping others, so again thanks Scarecrow for you your contributions to FC :thumb:

I hope Scarcrow and others continue to share their info with us all, it is appreciated by the majority, I am 100% sure.

I would be greatful if rumbles on other groups/forums didnt spill over onto FC, alot of misunderstandings can be sorted out by PM/email gents. :thumb:

Its nice to see Shawbury getting some good visitors, long may they continue, and long may the jungle drums keep banging!
