Yep I'll be there. Look out for the blue Peugeot 307SW with the front wheel trims missing - not my fault

Not sure if I should have opened a new thread as I am a newbie and first time poster. Have never visited Waddington before but I'm driving my wife to a meeting in Hull on Friday 18/11 and then have 5 or so hours before I have to pick her up. Decided to have a run down to Waddington for a few hours. Any advice, anything I should know before visiting? Anything I'm likely to see on Friday?

Cheers

Steve

might be worth you going a little bit more south to CBY (coningsby) friday afternoon might be a bit quiet? But you have the wave at waddington and some friendly faces.Hope you get some aircraft :thumb:
May the skies be clear and blue and the wind fair with a guiding star to steer by.

Thanks for the advice. I did consider Coningsby but with time contraints I thought it would be pressing it a bit.

Hi John,

Thanks for the welcome. I'll be sure to call in and introduce myself. I'll be driving the pale grey Maserati (Oh all right - it's a Fiat Punto!)

Cheers

Police notice . . . .

Please be on the lookout for a humungous sized geezer that hangs around the WAVE adjacent to RAF waddington. He goes by the name of softbill man and is wanted by the authorities for impersonating a human being. His aliases include the 'waddington dosser' and the 'lincoln tramp'. Please do not approach him, call the authorities and get the local SWAT team in to deal with him.

He is very dangerous, armed with a variety of brutal banter and little or no knowledge of aircraft, he could ruin your day. If all else fails, try calling for the hero of the planespotting fraternity, the one and only, Captain Scarlet (he's indestructabe you know!). He will be down at the WAVE quicker than one of john's sarcastic comments.

Keep 'em peeled. :ninja:
Richard

Captain Scarlet is indestructable, you are not! Remember this, do not try to imitate him.

I thought I had done some research regarding visiting the WAVE, but all the sources seem to have omitted the fact that you need to be borderline certifiable to visit there...........

Cheers fella's. It looks like my UN beret and peacekeeping skills will no longer save me. :(

Will now have to resort to my ultimate training regime - that is I'll just run away and let Mrs. Sentry deal with you :P

Stephen.

PS Do I get a prize for being barred from the WAVE more than any other human being in living history.
