Dead?

Post by airfixpilot » Thu Jun 08, 2017 6:45 am

Looking at the moment posts for Waddington, there seems to be no activity. I have taken a trip to Waddington yesterday (7/6/17) and stayed for around two to three hours, but without activity moved across to Coningsby to see the same old, namely Typhoons. Were are all the activity gone?

As Gary said, there was a strong cross-wind at Waddington yesterday.

The only activity was an Islander/Defender sortie in the morning and the arrival of the final RAF Rivet Joint just after 17.30.

Activity at Waddington varies from day to day; it can be very busy one day and dead the next. You unfortunately picked the wrong day!

Regular visitors that i have seen over the past few months have been the Qinetic and 32sqd Bae 146's and Brize based A400's and C130's.

I would suggest next week will be a better week for Waddington with the Queens birthday fly past practices and also heard some Chinooks will be in and out for fuel stops throughout the week.

Popped in a few times over the last year to see mates.
The only movement down the runway was tumbleweed.
Get to Coningsby for action.
