WHIF RAFAT Hawk T2

Post by steve149c » Mon Mar 20, 2017 12:05 pm

Hi all,

Haven't posted in a while, but have been looking in! A little project that I have been thinking about for a few months has now come to fruition, an RAF Hawk 128 / T2 in RAF Red Arrow colours, this particular jet marked up for Red 10, Sqn Ldr Mike Ling.

Kit: Airfix A03073
Decals: From Airfix Red Arrows Hawk T1
Scale: 1/72
Paint: Tamiya X-7 and X-1 for body, then X-23 and X-27 for smoke
Others: Cotton wool, Acrylic rod, Pledge floor care

A more dynamic pose for the T2 as she is in a left hand roll with smoke pods going, yse smoke pods are a one hit affair and can't be switched on and off. The Fuel/Baggage centre line pod had to be scratch built.

So here she is

Cheers for looking and hope you enjoy my latest as much as I enjoyed building her

Cheers

Always thought the T2 would look great as an Arrow, especially with wing tip smoke too. Well done.
In this world there's two kinds of people, my friend. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig.

Scheme suits the T2 well.

Hope it becomes reality.
