ACH-47A Diorama Help

Post by FTS » Fri Oct 28, 2011 4:24 pm

As this is a comp build related question, I guess it should be posted here. I've been pondering over my entry for this comp and i've decided to build a diorama of an ACH-47A in Vietnam. I'm looking for a good website where I can get hold of figures, bases, materials etc for the diorama. Can anyone help point me in the right direction?

This is what i'm planning to replicate, or something similar;

Cheers for the links Jamie, i'll have a look into them. I'm after US Army figures, but the sort that you've linked to are the sort i'm after.

I've got some unused 1/35 figures and accessories you can have if they're any use, mostly still on sprue.

I forgot to mention it's a 1:72 build. Thanks for the offer though waghorn.

I've just found these so at least I have some of the figures sorted.

Looking at a previously made diorama of an ACH-47A on this site; http://modeling.gunsagogo.org/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; he used the Hasegawa USAF Ground Crew set for the techies, so i'll look into that.

I've ordered the ground crew and also a PM set of US Infantry which comes with 2 bases. I've no idea what the bases look like though. My next phase is to get hold of some features for the base and some detail add ons for the Chinook. At 1:72 i'm struggling :lol:
