why not do it as a specific topic, ie fighter, bombers, trainers, RAF, USAF, somthing wideranginf but specific

we could do it as a Poll (ive figured out how to do that!)

Prototypes in service, `what if`, competition :D
Judged on a combination of idea and skill.

How about

USAFE aircraft from the 1970's-1980's ( United States Air Force Europe )

With the many USAFE bases around at that time

Hahn
Bitburg
Aviano
Spang
Woodbridge
Bentwaters
Mildenhall
Lakenheath
Upper Hayford
Alconbury

From A-10's / F-4's / F-15A / C-130's / 135's / F-111's / F-16's / MH-53's / SR-71 / U2 / Navy beechcraft / oh and don't forget the Aggressor F-5 & F-16's. During those 20 years the colours changed alot on the machines, so variety would be no problem

Competition ideas are fine, but how is it going to be judged?

Rob I am just gauging the interest! With regards to judging I have an Idea but need to check the feasibility :thumb:

How about a member that's worked on aircraft and is not entering the comp?, someone with a hands-on feel for the full size thing. Must be some around the forum.

I`m up for that Jamie. As for ideas,

Helicopter build (Don`t recall ever seeing one on here??)
World War One build (Same as above)
Seaplane build (Cats, Sunderlands, etc etc)

Just thinking of stuff thats slightly more unusual from the standard jet/modern stuff....

TC,
Cant remember seeing too many Helicopter GBs or comps on the net never mind here so obviously that gets my vote. My interests dont go as far back as WWI and dont have the space for too many floaters but might be tempted if i find the right one. Even though it still doesnt interest me, how about Between the Wars as a subject?
Arabest,
Geoff.
