FC Anniversary model competition

Post by viper3111 » Wed Sep 01, 2010 6:35 am

Hi all

The FC team are pleased to announce we are going to run a model building competition to celebrate our 1 year anniversary after we went over to the new forum.

This competition will be a bit different to the last one in a few ways,

Firstly everyone can enter as we the team will be judging it in the same way as the photo comps
secondly there is no advanced or beginners this time, just one comp for all with a 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize.

Now to the good bit, as this is to celebrate FC the prizes will be representative of our logo aircraft.
These are

1st prize Tamiya 32nd scale Spitfire MK VIII (the latest one)

2nd prize Revell 48th scale Euro fighter typhoon

3rd prize Revell 72nd scale Lightning

Pictures to follow.

The competition will start on 1st of October and will run for 3 months. There is no theme so you can build any military aircraft, any scale up to 1/24 scale, any detail sets or decals.
The choice is yours

I will post the full set of rules on the 30/9/10.

You now have one month to decide on what you want to build, feel free to post what you are going to do by replying to this thread. Or just keep it to yourself and surprise us all :thumb:

Most definitely :thumb:

Usual FC rules apply, as in they must be military and in keeping with the site but other than that go for it

Hmm, going to be difficult to pick a worthy kit for this comp - maybe thinking of my RB-36H. Just need somewhere to put the thing afterwards!

About 1.5m wide at 1/48th. (Assuming I can add up right!) Do it do it do it!

Fancy making this one? ;)
