Good to see a Wyton bird in the GB, since that place will be the home of imagery intelligence come next year (bar Marham who do the tactical side).

Indeed, looking quite impressive so far, silver colour's can be a bit of a pig to brush paint, so your doing quite well.

I brush painted a bare metal 1/48 Liberator a few years back and I found I got the best result painting each panel at a time (you don't have to let it dry before going on to the next  ). You can get some good results at the end, just needed a lot of patience as it took some time!

Anyone got any ideas for a 45 gram weight? The large nail (bottom of the picture above) isn't enough!

Add a second large nail....

Seriously, put the nail/bolt in place and then fill the gaps with blu tac. The tac will add weight as well as hold said nail/bolt in place. That what I do anyway.

Sounds like a good Idea, but I've stuck down the camera bay (ex bomb bay) so I can't add any more

Finished. Not happy with it though.

1. It's off balance
2. Decals tore
3. I thought Id make it shiny with a bit of gloss varnish, which somehow got mixed with the paint and ran all over the decals
4. Paint looks rubbish, it's all different tones, textures e.t.c

Have you ever looked at a real aircraft ;)

How long did you leave the paint to dry dude?
