FCHC -1/48 Italeri hh-60 g finnished (updated 19/4/12)

Post by mickfgr2 » Tue Jan 31, 2012 3:19 pm

Hi fellas
this is my first entry into a comp & this is what i'm going to build, I intend to represent one of Lakenheaths airframes so the kit will require some mods to bring it up to date.

Oh yes Mick! Looks great, what's the panel lines like? Raised or sunk?

Lots of mods for this set here http://www.hannants.co.uk/search/index. ... PerPage=25" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Cheers

Hi steve the panel lines are a mixture of both, the rivet detail & some of the small panels are raised then the larger panels are engraved.
unfortunately i'm unemployed through ill heath at the moment so on an extremly tight budget, so will be built from the box as much as possible & mods will be scratch built. Mick

Sorry to hear about the job situation, but on the plus side it leaves time to model. Scratch building is great, and very rewarding! Have you got a list of the areas that need attention/modifying?

Hi fellas a bit more work been done on the hh-60g so another update
the small detectors on the nose & tail were scratch built as was the small blade antena on the rear of the engine fairing the tail has been modified in shape to take the four rear sensors mounted on it & the whole thing has been given an enitial coat of fs 36118 gunship grey but i'm not very happy with it i think its a bit too dark.
I've now just got to find a flir turret & make its housing,any way on with the pics. hope you like mick.
