How is this progressing?johnnyboy wrote:I have a Revell 1/72 Hawker Hunter F Mk6 which until now has a joy to put together with next to no filler being used, All went fine right up until I was ready to put a coat of primer on, it seems that somehow the F Mk6 jet pipe was not in the box but a Mk FAG 9 was Now I have a MK6 with a FAG 9 jet pipe and I am now seeking help as to how I can finish this superb model as apart from the wrong tail pipe it has the early Mk 6 weapon pylons and a set of flaps without the cut outs. So did such a airframe fly with any RAF Sqns and if so are there any decal sets out I could use?
There WAS an F6A, owned by BAe I believe, which had the Avon 200 (FGA9 power plant) plus brake shute housing but F6 airframe otherwise. Colour scheme was red/white, date c1974. They serviced it alongside our FGA9s in the hangar at Wittering and I was asked to do the engine side as they were not qualified. Can't remember the serial though - well it was 37 years ago! I think I've got all the Revell kits so if there's any parts you need I'm sure I can help.

What's on my bench? well everything in the stack really.
First up will be the 1/144 F14 for the US Navy comp followed by a Wessex for the helicopter comp.
Then it's anybody's guess out of a Spitfire Vb, Hurricane II, Venom, Bf109 and 38 Hunters - might have to buy some more of those...
