Model Airfield Vehicles.......

Post by Unknown74 » Fri Mar 24, 2017 7:41 pm

Hi guys I'm wondering wether any of the following were still available in 1/72 form:

An RAF Airfield Refuelling Bowser Truck.

An RAF Aircraft Towing Vehicle (Unless it's just a tractor) - for towing jets etc out of hangars and HAS area places.

Any of those generator type things which are parked on Typhoon Base Flightlines.

Or keep an eye on evilbay for old pp aeroparts kits.
Airfix used to do an old bedford bowser.

David Parkins under the Flightpath name has released most of the old PP Aeroparts range of flightline accessories.

BW Models produced a large range of White Metal 1/76 airfield vehicle kits including a Leyland bowser, Hallam tractor, various fire engines, Landrovers, towing arms, Lox pots, Houchin GPU'S etc. The owner retired a few years and most of the moulds were sold. A company called Mid Devon Models is due to start releasing most of the RAF vehicles.

BW Models kits do turn up on eBay occasionally.

There is some in that scale made by cooper models an AEC and a towed bowser as well as a flat bed lorry, they are quite nice and add a different type to any scenes as I can testify.
