Being pedantic (and please correcet if wrong); 4 Sqn was / is IV AC whilst I didn't think 5 had an AC but a F designation.
Otherwise, thanks for your post; a great reference guide.

The mighty Five are now 5(AC) Sqn. Occasionally written as V(AC) Sqn. :)

All the Typhoon squadrons - 3, 6, 11, 17 and 29 operate the FGR4 and T3 variants, not the T1, the last airframe of that denomination going for upgrade to T3 last month. Currently, 3 sqn and 11 sqn have one remaining F2 each, but only until they're upgraded to FGR4 standard, immminently.

What about the Hercules squadrons at Brize? Is 203(R) still in existence as the Sea King OCU at Valley?

Is 4 not 4(R)? It was for the last few months of Harrier ops when it took over from 20(R) as the OCU, and I presume it's kept the same designator now they are flying Hawk T.2s?

Hi

Further update:

10 Sqn is just about to reform, using Voyager KC.2 & KC.3 (Airbus A-330) at Brize Norton
39 Sqn is a Reaper MQ.9, Squadron and is based at RAF Waddington, however the unit currently operates from other locations

13 Sqn should reform next year (2012), also at RAF Waddington with Reaper's UAV'S, anyone know which mark of Reapers 13 Sqn will have, as just like the old "Predators" not only do they have differnt payload, but also come in different sizes????

Many thanks for all the responses. I am hoping to use the information in a book coming out shortly. I just wanted the data in this section to be as accurate as possible
