Seen reports on Facebook of a Saudi Air Force crash, reportedly a Saudi Hawks example.

Wow, I really don't think people are worried about airframes when posting about a loss

some might be, you never know. first thing alot spotters want to know is which airframe crashed thats a fact. saudis, as usual, remain tight lipped and up to a bahraini site to give a few scant details.
they have plenty more airframes to crash. hopefully no one on ground was killed.
cheers

I have to say that whilst some associate themselves and connect themselves too closely to these things, and make it somewhat more personal than it is (ultimately in most cases most if not all are not personally connect to any fatalities, and knowing which tail number crashed is of some interest), I do find the statement "they have plenty more airframes to crash" more than a little callous, and on the face of it and at the very least, wrong..... clearly the aircraft are procured to fill a mission, which isn't crashing....

Judging by the report it does seem to have been a new Hawk that has crashed but like mentioned above only a few details given.
RIP to the loss of the aircrew, thoughts with loved ones and squadron.

Once again I find myself drawn to remind others that 3 people were killed by an 80 year old crash-dummy & his co-pilot wife driving his caravan the wrong way down the M40 motorway head-on into an innocent guy coming the right way!
I have searched ‘Caravanning for Crazies’ forum & there’s no reference to ‘greenfields’ or ‘pitch in peace’ It would appear to be a byproduct of our hobby to heap good wishes on the gravitationaly challenged?
Perhaps the apparent callousness of some posters is related to the Saudi disinterest in Human Rights & intransigence when it comes to killing others😉

Well said above.
RIP all those innocent civilians including many children killed by the saudi led indiscriminate bombing campaign in Yemen. RIP Khashoggi brutally tortured, murdered and body dismembered in the saudi consulate in Istanbul.
The word hypocrisy springs to mind here...

Fear of Hypocrisy certainly doesn't deter the spotters and photographers though whenever they deploy over here.. Its only work and money that usually deters me, lol!!
