New Aircraft for Blue Angels in 2019 Season

Post by Vixen1 » Tue Apr 24, 2018 11:09 am

Due to shortage of airframes and budgetary restrictions, it is rumoured that this will be the mount if the Blue Angels in 2019.

No, the RAF/MOD got overly generous & sold 'em a knackered C-130 at a knock-down price, complete with Union Jack tail-fin! :O

Would be that one. Never got a pic of the special, even though I saw it buzzing around Warton while taking the family on a jolly to Blackpool. :'(

Actually they currently have 5 to chose from at Cambridge with another 3 yet to arrive. So who know which they will get. I suppose the special tailed 883 is/has been stripped off since arriving the other week??

883 is not wfu it seems, as per the Cambridge section

Blimey they didn't last long.....Is there not a requirement to train Navigators any more?

I noticed a trio of Dominies at Kemble the other day, anyone know their fate?, I assume scrappage

P.S. Just had a read, I'm way behind the times and knew nothing of the Phenom till now, looks like a good replacement, but again private enterprise involved so us taxpayers will in the now established British tradition of making fat cats fatter, get shafted.
