Can anyone tell me would a jaguar engine fit in a hawk
Re: Hawk
Basically yes, once you'd lopped-off the afterburner section and modified some controls.
The original Adour Mk 151 in the Hawk was the Jaguar's Mk 102 with the part-throttle-reheat control removed. It gave about 90lbs more dry thrust due to the absence of back-pressure from the afterburner section.
The Adour was very modular and could be upgraded to later variants by changing components, something RR learned from Turboméca.

Possibly, but you wouldn't gain much in terms of power...Supra wrote:Can anyone tell me would a jaguar engine fit in ..my Astra?
