A bit worrying, only saving grace it was on a taxiway.Might instigate a shoot down policy on bases or at least electronic area denial systems.

I feel it's only a matter of time before someone flies one into a British airfield or restricted area to have a look.

At Mildenhall flocks of crows at the east end are a constant and increasing problem. Pilots have aborted landings, checked the bird situation and asked for the bird scarer. Aircraft have been checked out for damage. But drones disproportionately make headlines. So if you want to drone round Mildenhall stealth it as a crow. Perhaps they need to start with using shotguns on bird control before going high tech. But don't get me wrong ISIS have used of the shelf drones as bombs so the whole problem needs sorting.

Don't know about landings, but there have been 265 airprox reports in the UK since 2014. They must have been very near misses to have been seen!
