Short but fairly interesting article about the automatic landing system

https://www.theregister.co.uk/AMP/2018/ ... im_flight/

Wonder if it has an autopilot for attack and destroy

Have you ever seen the movie Stealth? Awful film, but I feel like we're moving steadily towards the same worrying storyline lol

I spoke to a F35B pilot at an airshow and he trotted out the usual "its all marvellous" line. I asked what he flew previously he said the Harrier so I asked which was the most fun to fly he looked around to make sure no-one was listening and he said it was the Harrier by a mile.

Quite a good rhetorical line from the Typhoon team at Coningsby is that -
"It's not difficult learning to fly the Typhoon, but its a very different story learning to Operate it"
UK ONS CPI Rate checker for Sept every year...

Nice to hear in support of the dear old Harrier, but here's a thought: If you had to fly into a warzone, would you rather be in a fun aircraft, or a capable one...?

Personally, I would rather be in one that works!
Perhaps in 10 years time the F35b may be that aircraft.....
