US Naval Forces Build up in Western Pacific

Post by welshandy » Mon Nov 13, 2017 9:23 am

On the BBC news last night was a piece from a BBC reporter on board the USS Ronald Reagan on the US build up. There are now three Carriers in the Area USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76), USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71) and USS Nimitz (CVN 68). There was a great shot of two B1's escorted by F18's flying over the three Carriers. No link available on BBC News site yet, but here is a link to the USN Pacific Fleet Twitter page. https://twitter.com/USPacificFleet?ref_ ... a-41958553

Lets hope NK comes to it's senses & engages in meaningful discussions.

There’s no such thing as a random exercise.

It might be wise to cease speculation, you never know who listens in.

Censorship and an obsession with National Security are the first stages leading to a fascist/communist state.

Publication of details of military exercises etc. is all part of the deterrence propaganda, any speculation only helps that deterrence.
If publicity and speculation was not wanted why was a BBC reporter invited to accompany the exercise?
If my comments upset anybody I am sorry. Just remember all those who have given their lives for the right to free speech, and are still giving.
