I note from UK Serials that the Northolt Islanders appear to have been withdrawn from use and sold to civillian ownership (with Islander Aircraft Ltd at Cumbernauld)
Which immediately makes me wonder what they have replaced them with! Contracted DA42s, in a similar fashion to the Met Police's arms-length fixed wing aerial surveillance capability?
Did you know that registration to Fighter Control is completely free and brings you lots of added features? Find out more....
Northolt Station Flight Islanders
Re: Northolt Station Flight Islanders
There are a couple of civil twins,(Navajos I believe),operating from there, both during the day and late at night.....assume these are doing that job.....Think there was an article, either on FC or another Mil spotting site, which referred to some ex RAF/Mod pilots setting up a civilian outfit in this regard....Stuart

Same company that provides the oilspill 727s and the Blades display team
Re: Northolt Station Flight Islanders
believe there now a total of 4 Navajos based at Northolt for the contract
Re: Northolt Station Flight Islanders
