Italian Air Force AW139 for Weston Air Festival

Post by JOLLY GREEN » Wed Jun 14, 2017 10:24 am

We are very excited to announce that an Italian AW139 will be flying in for the Weston Air Show this weekend!

The AW139 is from 15th Stormo and is based at Cervia-Pisignano in North East Italy. It will be landing at The Helicopter Museum on Friday (time TBC) before heading to the beach lawns on Saturday and Sunday morning.

16:40L [33FE22] "IAM1530" no serial Showing on SBS somewhere in the Bournmouth/Yeovil area at 600' - I guess this is 15 Stormo, so the AW139 inbound.

Was due to make a fuel stop at Middle Wallop, not sure whether that's still the case.

Looks like you're right - just changed from a Bournmouth sharer to one near Boscombe Down.

Edit - Or perhaps not, now wearing SQ5065 which is Bristol Approach, which is consistent with it being inbound Weston-Sub-Human. S'pose I might as well add to the aggro on the M5 and go have a looksee.

Hi Malcolm
Staff at Museum say it will be with them tonight (out the Back I guess) and then move to the Beach Lawns sometime tomorrow morning
Hope that helps,

I can confirm MM81799/15-43 was parked up in the evening sunshine at the WSM Helicopter Museum - or RAF Locking as was. Nothing on the Lawns as of 19:00L.
