LFA7. Record breaker?
LFA7. Record breaker?
I have just looked at a posting on here, where sonicbenj witnessed 27 x F15 passes plus two other types, in one day.
It set me wondering.... What is the most passes that anyone has witnessed at any of the locations in LFA7 in one day?

I believe there was a day back in 2009ish when the French alphajets were at Valley where the French alone contributed around 50 passes.....I was in the lakes and got a single Tucano

I was there Gareth! Awesome day. There was a day in the early 90s can't remember how many passes only it was constant all day and Included Eagles, Tornados, Harriers, Jaguars, C130s , Dominies , 2x MH53s later in the evening along Lake Bala and a very low Canbeerra over Rhayader on the way up.

Wow, that must have been fantastic.
On my introductory visits in early 2006 I remember counting 24 in a day at Cad East.
I've had numerous blanks since then, but on that one single day the bug had bitten...
I d be very happy for a quarter of those now.

Yep great days, had a few blanks too, these days are nothing like they were, just think of how many Squadrons of fast jets the RAF used to have .

Re: LFA7. Record breaker?
Up until the mid 90's even the entry points like the Dee Valley would see 30 passes a day.

Re: LFA7. Record breaker?
Yep my local the Usk valley between Brecon-Sennybridge used to see a lot of movements even F111s and once 4 Viggens with 4 Jags showing them around the Welsh countryside. Just wish I had a camera then! Not sure if the Viggens flew anywhere else? It was mid 90s and they were on a deployment at Coltishall. Can anyone confirm? Photos etc?

I once got 23 Tucanos in one day in the S-M in Sept 1997.
