They were supposed to perform a flypast at Margam park on sunday and monday but now this is on the site:
"We have just been informed by the RAF that due to technical problems the Memorial Flight consisting of the Lancaster Bomber, Spitfire & Hurricane will be unable to attend the Fortress Wales. However, arrangements have been made for the Dakota to fly in their absence (Weather permitting)."

Aw, that's disappointing for my home town Glasfryn, and the other venues, but hope the Dakota turns up for them all, and that BBMF get the Lanc up and running soon. It'll be good to see it back in the air.

Once the Lanc is fixed, will the crews need a run up time, as no one has had a chance to fly her yet? If so we might see her bashing the curcuit at CBY for a few days.

The airtest was cancelled today - Lancaster is unserviceable.

From BBMF website.

'The Lancaster is unserviceable; a fuel cock shut off valve is faulty and this controls the fuel sent to the engine. Currently, our engineers are attempting to resolve the issue - further updates will be posted.'
