Avro Shackleton WR963 taxied for the first time since 2008 and the first also in her current scheme at Coventry today!

A step closer to flight in the furture?

It was great to see her taxying! Thanks to everyone who liked my video ( posted by Flyingmonster, fine btw) and subscribed to my channel.

Her next TAXY will be in 2015 after brake sac replacement/repair

It was an excellent day which I'm so glad I went to....

I was only scheduled to be onboard for my first experience of one of the scheduled ground runs - which was awesome... only topped by the sudden revelation that later on she would taxy as Jon Corley was due back in the Venom at 4pm. Some frantic preparations were made, the aircraft towed onto the apron, and then it happened..... a very emotional moment!

The applause on shut-down from the watching crowd summed it up - a great historic step for WR963 indeed - the first time taxying in her current colours too! :thumbs:
