If you saw the HH-60G's at Lossie then that was last week, these 2 arrived at Edinburgh via Leeming yesterday and are different airframes-these are UH-60A's.

Hi Conall, I believe you are referring to the recent HH-60 deployment from RAF Lakenheath, Suffolk. This is a different deployment, this time UH-60s of the US Army based in Landstuhl, Germany. (I think it's Landstuhl, any in the know?)

Hi Chris, as far as I know, these UH-60's have come over from SHAPE at Chievres in Belgium. The C-37A from the same location (01-0076) was in at the same time. 1 of the UH-60's was the SHAPE Flt allocated 87-24584 (with SHAPE badge on the doors), the other machine was 87-24647 which is in Mil. Aircraft Markings 2009, as allocated to 'C' Coy,1st Btn, 214th Aviation Regt.at Landstuhl. They made a couple of trips to a certain naval establishment on the west coast, the purpose of which is unknown to me.

Both arrived using SHAPE callsigns, so it's a pretty good bet they're SHAPE machines ;)
