I've found it difficult enough to find out if we're either getting a flypast or type performing said flypast, nevermind the general public being advised. With regard to jet noise, I do sympathise with Portabello residents having their windows rattled with little to no warning, BUT, everytime I've seen reheat used it's been directly overhead the Esplanade at the Castle - the Tattoo's venue. Those who live nearby, yes, they should be aware of the impending noise, but on the same hand, they are well aware of the fireworks that are used extensively throughout the Festival, and they are far from discreet, so, what's a little additional jet noise?

Can anyone remind us of the remaining dates and if possible what will be performing the Flypasts for the remainder of the Tattoo please.

Must also admit to being disappointed that the Red Arrows are not involved this Year.

Would be little point as it will more than likely be dark, or very low light by 9pm. Sunset on 14th August which is the next scheduled date for a flypast is 8.53pm according to the Met Office website. By the date of the last flypast, the sun will probably have gone down around 8.30pm, give or take a minute or two.

Is there a Flypast Tonight? Listening to Edinburgh and not hearing anything?

Bit of a disappointment, sorry not to see them, hope Thursdays Flypast and the 24th gets over. Wonder if they might put one on another night to compensate maybe?

Unless the weather was seriously bad someone will be for it as the Chief of The Air Staff was present tonight. Surely they would have organised something like a Tornado or Typhoon for his salute?

Not as much Red Arrows as Red Faces if that's the case. Also did I not hear correctly that Gill and Berry from Squadron Prints were due to attend also?

Despite the disappointment of no Flypast, they will really enjoy the Tattoo I was at one of the first performances and really enjoyed it.

I'm sure the guy will understand that safety is more of important than a fly past for a non operational reason. No point having it if cant hardly see it in cloyd. Disappointed in the weather Yes, angry or annoyed, doubt he'll be that.

NOTAM's still showing remaining dates as 16th and 24th for restrictions, so additional flypast on another night looks unlikely.

2 Typhoons flew over Dunfermline, always a welcome sight and sound! heading back to lossie at 2113 local time so must've been a 2110 flypast tonight :thumb:
