It will not be landing at Shawbury as due to heat ! damage on the runway we are not accepting fixed wing moves on Rwy 18/36.

Arthur will discover more about the science of wind as he's driving me to RIAT ! :halo: :halo: :halo:

Ok', I don't get to visit airfields much these days, and I'm not into pics, but just had a chat with someone who works with VC10,s he has just told me Monday afternoon the last K1? will attempt to land at Cosford, and the runway length was part of the chat. Im no expert but I would call this guy a very reliable source, but you have to accept these plans change so don't shoot the messenger If it doesn't happen. :D

I would imagine it was ZA148 that was about today as it did leave Fairford this morning, unsure of time but was holding at 10:30. 148 was later spotted at Cardiff airport doing "rollers", not sure what that is but info from VC10.net

I'm pretty sure Bob did not transit into Cosford today, there would have been someone in the know and photo's would have surfaced by now.

No surprise really, hear it takes several attempts to get it off the deck without something failing on it.

GJD aircraft salvage and decommissioning services working out of Bruntingthorpe, they have the contract that has dismantled the VC10's so far.
cheak out the bellow website, if you click on the facilities tab you will see four VC10's awaiting their doom!
