Can anyone supply any info on the Salisbury Plain Training Area please ? I've seen lots of nice photos and I must drive near it as I'm up and down the 303 everyday.

Re: SPTA
MSF reports that C-17A 02 arrived at 1315 and 2 AB412s were being prepared to be loaded. Assume more of the same tomorrow. Any clues what the Swiss are doing re. going home? (Or to put it another way - Is it worth a 6-hour round trip to potentially see nothing other than the based stuff? I think I already know the answer but would welcome any input!)
thanks

Re: SPTA
Thanks for posting the location (Knook Camp) I had not heard of it before.
When I left at 15:00 two Norwegians (144 and 166) plus both the Swiss were on the deck engines running.
( the Swiss were in and out every 15 minutes during the afternoon)

Re: SPTA
The Swiss Cougars departed Knook Camp at c10am this morning with a very spirited flypast from one aircraft. It also looks as though the remaining two Norwegian B412s are ready to depart with one up on a local flight as I left. All kit appears to be being packed up in to containers.
Hope this saves others from a wasted journey.
