Seems like the weekly cargo charter flights are now taking place on Fridays. A TransaviaExport IL-76TD EW-78848 just landed at Geilenkirchen a little while ago.
Cheers

What do they use Geilenkirchen for, Andy?
What are they transporting?

The IL has left GK around 14:30ish or so... will post a picture or two later on tonight.

As far as what they transport, I have no real clues but as far as I have heard these are ISAF support flights. They do not transport any personnel though. To the best of my knowledge (and this is not an official statement) Geilenkirchen is one of the many POEs for ISAF support flights, where cargo is "pooled" for air transport from various military units and installations in the closer or more distant vicinity.
Hope this helps a bit
