You could always try Sennybridge on the A40. May not be as low or as dynamic but it's a lot closer.

Senybridge has its moments it has days busier than the loop over the years, but quieter these days missing the Harriers and Jaguars thast used to frequent the area. Had 2 Apaches 50ft hovering around me for an hour on Wednesday, an Atlas, few Hawks and a Tornado at 250ft. All in a hour. Great if you like watching aircraft it can be good for photos if you are in the right place. But in the loop you know where they are going to be.

Morning all, thought I would post in here rather than a new thread, was thinking of visiting the loop tomorrow for the first time, sun looks good but winds are meant to be 40mph... my question is, would this stop them spying through the loops considering how the hills can exaggerate the wind etc ??

Thanks in advance.

No mate the wind is not to big a problem for the aircraft but it could be a problem for you takeing photos etc
