Caernarfon (bits and bobs) 8/10-14/10

Post by jakdaw » Sat Oct 15, 2016 7:05 pm

Staying near Caernarfon airport for the week brought the following of interest:

10/10: Chinook landed 1930ish (possibly for hot refuel) then away again shortly after (maybe ZA705 from elsewhere)
11/10: Chinook again 2100ish same a previous night (maybe ZA712 again from elsewhere)
14/10: Griffin doing circuits,late afternoon coded E (think it was using Valley 99?)

The dump still has a sad looking Whirlwind on the dump (XD165) on its side.

And if you've got this far i'll sneak on some Civvie Coastguard stuff;
G-MCGK flying all week using Rescue 936
G-MCGJ: Didn't fly till 14/10 when it went out for a quick shake down over the bay and tested winch as Coastguard 937

Museum visited on 14/10 and was a pleasure as always.
